Odette Johanson

“If you don’t quit you can’t fail” - Pst Justin Stephany

Fun Fact: A couple of years ago I represented QLD in Masters figures skating (this is not nearly as impressive as it sounds, as there was not much competition, so if you were in the Masters league, could stand up in skates, you were almost guaranteed a spot)!

Odette joined the McQueen team in 2024 as a Client Service Administrator.

For the last 21 years, Odette has worked with her husband in their family business, in addition to working as a BAS agent and contract bookkeeper and raising 3 beautiful children.

In 2015, Odette returned to study to complete a certificate IV in accounting, then in 2017 completed a diploma of commerce at Griffith College where she was awarded Valedictorian, Dux and won a scholarship to Griffith University. Odette originally intended to complete a commerce degree majoring in accounting, but on the suggestion of her student mentor, enrolled in a financial planning course.

Upon completion of her first financial planning subject and seeing the benefits of implementing the knowledge that she learnt into her own life, Odette developed a passion for the financial advice profession that has such power to transform, enhance and empower people to meet their goals, and embrace and plan for their future.

In her spare time, Odette volunteers on the AV team at her church, acts as a taxi driver for her teenage daughter and is a passionate volunteer and supporter of Transformations Australia.

Odette loves roller skating and sunshine, and is a pretty good shot with a pistol and clay bird shooting. She also enjoys reading, cooking for friends and doing escape rooms. Her favourite movie is Disney’s Mulan (animated version).
